About the Quad-A SIE Program – Read Before You Apply

The Association of African American Financial Advisors (Quad-A) is proud to offer the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Program, designed to equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and support necessary to pass the SIE exam and take the first step toward a successful career in financial services.

This is a rigorous and high-touch program that requires serious commitment. Please review the expectations below carefully before submitting your application.

Program Expectations

To ensure a successful experience, all participants are required to:

  • Dedicate at least 5 hours per week to study and preparation
  • Complete all assigned coursework, quizzes, and mock exams
  • Attend all mandatory virtual cohort meetings and check-ins, including:
  • Kickoff Call – January 12, 2026 at 12:30 PM CST / 1:30 PM EST
  • Weekly 60-minute cohort meetings (Every Monday from 12pm – 1pm ET)
  • Engage fully with your cohort community and program sponsor
  • Maintain a minimum 80% score on all required quizzes and exams
  • Sit for the official SIE exam between February 19 – March 9, 2026

Participation in the Quad-A Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Program is intended to provide educational support and resources to help candidates prepare for the SIE exam. However, successful completion of the program does not guarantee a passing score on the SIE exam or offer any assurance of future employment opportunities in the financial services industry.

The Association of African American Financial Advisors (Quad-A) reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any part of the program at its sole discretion, including program content, schedules, or participant requirements, without prior notice.


All participants are expected to meet the outlined program expectations to remain in good standing throughout the duration of the program.

Our complimentary, 6-week SIE Program is designed to support students who are aspiring to build careers in financial services. This comprehensive initiative includes structured SIE Exam preparation and covers the full cost of the exam, in partnership with Securities Training by Colibri (STC)—a trusted leader in securities exam prep with over 50 years of industry expertise.
